Journal pages more Maastricht

Two more journal pages I did during my stay in Maastricht.

On Tuesday, I visited the Bonnefanten Museum. Its a great museum, inside and out. I found out about this awesome artist Sol LeWitt. Apparently his work is famous, but I didnt know his work (have I been living somewhere under a rock or something? No not really, bu how cool is it to discover new things, even if theyre not new at all?) I was absolutely in awe of his scribbles.

Lets draw from life and from our imagination! I can teach you fun tricks and techniques to boost your skills! Click here to enroll in the program that starts March 11!

CG Painter practice March 27th 2013

Lets write out clearly.-
As I said in my first post in FB and my blog, this is just a project, the goal is to become an excellent and qualified Painter and Designer, vanity stays apart and maybe you can see poor progress but thats the point, I am not here for just show stuff,it have another end, it will be critical for future evaluation of this time later.
My only interest is to focus on the errors and mistakes of my artwork, as you can see, they always looks sketchy and clay-like, is intentional, Im more worried about 100 things besides how cool BG or Eyes look like. The point is making self experience and forget about advices and tutorials, at the end only self experience and self knowledge will be valid, nothing can match that.

Key word is "CORRECTION". This is a good time for evaluation, because I have been away from fundamentals a while ago, is time to go back.

Lets keep this overreaching dedication flow, temptation can be strong but can not be compared to the desire inside.
"Lets perfect the patience that is hard as steel." lets believe in those words.
Keep on, GO GO! We can do this.

it wont be so hard (y)

Travel Journal 5

Wheels.
Is it hard to draw bikes or cars? Well, why would it be harder than drawing anything else? When I draw, I look at the shapes and the colours and try not to think about what I am actually drawing. For instance: I draw a rounded shape. Not a wheel.
The only problem you could have drawing one of these rides, is that they move. Or you are taking your time to draw a parked vehicle, and then suddenly the driver decides to take off with it!
The Tuk-Tuk driver decided to do so, but luckily a new one parked at the same spot, so I combined the two, to finish the drawing on the left page.

Psych!

Shawn Spencer and Burton "Gus" Guster

Im not really a huge follower of crime/murder investigation shows, but while "Psych" could fit in that category, its way different. When I first heard the concept of "a guy with heightened observational skills who pretends to be psychic and starts a detective agency with his friend Gus", I was immediately intrigued.
It didnt disappoint, as the hilarious 80s references and playful banter between the two longtime friends really hit all the right notes for a fun loving 80s kid like me.

I also love seeing Shawn and Gus spar with the Santa Barbara police while still making sure they keep their "psychic" ruse a secret. Its on the USA Network in the States and on NTV in Canada. I dont know if its everyones cup of tea, but check out an episode and see what you think!
